Description

The SCH-QC-TER-60mm-S is a 60mm Tersa-system double-edged planer knife for machines equipped with Tersa quick-change heads at 60mm width. Tersa knives lock in place by centrifugal force when the head reaches operating speed and eject by spring action when the machine stops — enabling knife changes in minutes without tools. The double-edged design provides two cutting edges per knife; when one edge dulls, flip for a fresh edge and double the service interval before replacement. No regrinding required. Available in HSS for standard softwood and light hardwood planing, M42 cobalt-alloyed HSS for improved edge retention in demanding hardwood and mixed-species production without the cost of carbide, or carbide for maximum edge life in dense hardwoods, abrasive manufactured boards, and high-volume continuous production.
