The SCH-QC-TER-130mm-S is a 130mm Tersa-system double-edged planer knife for machines with 130mm Tersa heads. The 130mm Tersa knife fits a common production planer/moulder width in European workshop and light-production equipment. Tersa’s self-locking centrifugal mechanism — knives lock at speed, spring-eject at rest — makes this one of the fastest knife-change systems in production woodworking, with changeover times measured in minutes rather than the 20–40 minutes required for traditional planer head knife changes. The double-edged knife provides two cutting surfaces; flip when the first dulls. No regrinding or adjustment required. Available in HSS for softwood and general mixed-species planing, M42 cobalt-HSS for better edge retention in demanding hardwood runs at moderate cost, or carbide for maximum service life in oak, walnut, and similar dense species or abrasive manufactured boards.
