Tersa 520mm Replacement Knife — HSS, M42, or Carbide

Description

The SCH-QC-TER-520mm-S is a 520mm Tersa-system double-edged planer knife for industrial machines with 520mm Tersa heads. The 520mm knife serves the same heavy industrial planing and wide-bed moulding category as the 510mm variant, fitting machines with slightly wider head capacity — common in wider-class heavy production equipment. Tersa’s centrifugal self-locking and spring-eject mechanism enables knife changes at any knife size without tool use or spindle calibration. Double-edged design provides two cutting faces per knife without regrinding. Available in HSS for softwood-dominated industrial production, M42 cobalt-HSS for extended hardwood service over standard HSS, or carbide for maximum edge life in demanding hardwood and abrasive material production at full 520mm width. Carbide is strongly recommended for shops running dense hardwoods at this width where knife change frequency in production otherwise becomes operationally disruptive.
