The SCH-QC-SCH-50mm-S is a 50mm replacement knife for Schmidt SCHure-Lock segmented quick-change cutter heads. The 50mm segment represents one of the more commonly used short-increment sizes in the SCHure-Lock segmented system — combining two 50mm segments covers 100mm, fitting alongside 100mm segments to build mid-size and larger assembled head widths. SCHure-Lock segments seat in the head with Schmidt’s proprietary locking geometry, enabling fast knife changes while the segment-level replacement approach reduces per-change tooling cost compared to full-width knife systems at comparable machine widths. Available in HSS in multiple grade specifications; grade variants reflect body size or material grade differences for specific head models. No carbide at this length.
