The ID552T is the 40mm metric bore tongue cutter for hardwood flooring production on European-spindle equipment — machines the tongue element of the T&G flooring joint on 40mm metric spindle moulders and planers. At 5-1/2-inch OD and 30mm wide, the ID552T matches the ID552G groove cutter for precision tongue-and-groove fit on metric flooring lines. Insert-style carbide tooling allows worn inserts to be rotated or replaced without taking the cutter off the machine for resharpening — a critical advantage in high-output flooring production where downtime directly affects throughput.
