Description

The ID552G is the 40mm metric bore version of the 3-wing insert flooring groove cutter — designed for production flooring equipment with European metric spindles rather than the imperial bore sizes used in North American shaper platforms. At 5-1/2-inch OD and 30mm wide, the cutting geometry matches the imperial bore equivalents (ID550G, ID551G) but mounts on 40mm metric spindles. European-specification four-sided moulders and planers running hardwood flooring lines commonly use the 40mm spindle format. Insert-style carbide provides the same in-field insert rotation and replacement capability regardless of bore size — worn inserts are replaced at the machine without resharpening.
