Description

The ID50002 provides a double backout insert and holder assembly for insert-style flooring cutter systems — two complete insert-and-holder units for simultaneous backout cutting on both the tongue and groove sides of a hardwood flooring profile in a single pass. In flooring machining, backout cuts relieve the underside of the profile: removing material from the back of both the tongue and groove edges reduces installation friction and ensures tight, flat installation even in slightly irregular flooring stock. The double configuration covers both profile elements simultaneously, reducing setup and pass count compared to running single backout cuts sequentially. Insert-style design allows worn inserts to be rotated or replaced without regrinding the body.
