Description

The SCH-QC-TER-410mm-S is a 410mm Tersa-system double-edged planer knife for industrial machines with 410mm Tersa-head capacity. The 410mm knife fits large-format industrial planers and wide-bed moulders used in high-volume production of wide lumber, structural timber, and wide architectural components. Tersa fast-change capability — tool-free, calibration-free knife changes in minutes — is operationally significant at this knife size, where conventional knife change procedures are time-consuming and require skilled setup. Double-edged design provides two usable cutting faces per knife with no sharpening required. Available in HSS for softwood-dominated production, M42 cobalt-HSS for better performance in mixed-species and hardwood production, or carbide for maximum service life in demanding hardwood and abrasive material production. At 410mm, carbide is strongly favored for hardwood-intensive operations where the cost of frequent knife changes and grinding service at this knife width becomes significant.
