Description

The SCH-QC-TER-510mm-S is a 510mm Tersa-system double-edged planer knife for large industrial machines with 510mm Tersa-head capacity. At 510mm, this is one of the wider Tersa knife sizes in the Schmidt range, serving heavy industrial planers and wide-bed moulders processing wide timber, large architectural panels, and industrial-scale moulding at 510mm full-width coverage. Tersa fast-change remains as operationally effective at 510mm as at smaller sizes — knives lock by centrifugal force, eject by spring at rest, and change without tools or calibration, regardless of knife width. Double-edged design: two cutting faces per knife, no sharpening. Available in HSS for high-volume softwood production, M42 cobalt-HSS for mixed-species and hardwood with better service than standard HSS, or carbide for maximum edge life in hardwood and abrasive material at 510mm production volume.
