The SCH-QC-TER-150mm-S is a 150mm Tersa-system double-edged planer knife for machines with 150mm Tersa heads. The 150mm is one of the most common Tersa knife sizes in mid-size European production planing equipment. Tersa knives lock in the head by centrifugal force at operating speed and eject by spring at rest — the knife change process requires no tools, no calibration, and no adjustment of spindle height, making the Tersa system one of the fastest and most efficient knife replacement systems in production woodworking. Double-edged design provides two cutting edges per knife; flip for a fresh edge when the first dulls, then replace when both are used. Available in HSS for softwood and standard mixed-species production, M42 cobalt-HSS for improved performance in hardwood without the full cost of carbide, or carbide for maximum edge life and production continuity in dense hardwood and abrasive materials.
