The FB-DE-001 is a dedicated door-edge detail insert cutter for applying a profile 001 roundover to the exposed face edge of a door or panel. Where CDIC stile-and-rail sets cut the interlocking joint between frame members, DE-series door-edge cutters shape the decorative profile on the visible edge of the workpiece — the chamfer or arc that softens or accents the door face’s perimeter. Profile 001 roundover is one of three roundover options in the DE series (alongside 002 and 032), each with a distinct arc radius for matching to design specifications. The dedicated head design locks in profile 001 inserts only, keeping the edge geometry consistent across production runs. 1-1/4″ bore, 3-1/2″ minor diameter, 30mm insert tips, 3-wing CCW. Match the profile number against Freeborn’s door-edge profile sheet when specifying — the profile number corresponds to the arc radius and visual character of the resulting edge.
