Tersa 140mm Replacement Knife — HSS or M42

Description

The SCH-QC-TER-140mm-S is a 140mm Tersa-system double-edged planer knife for machines with 140mm Tersa-head capacity. The Tersa knife system is widely fitted to European planer-thicknessers and moulders; at 140mm, this knife covers small-to-mid production machines running material at 140mm planing width. Tersa’s self-locking centrifugal mechanism enables tool-free knife changes in minutes, and the double-edged design provides two cutting edges per knife for twice the service before replacement — no sharpening needed. Available at this length in HSS for standard softwood and light hardwood planing production, or M42 cobalt-alloyed HSS for improved edge retention in hardwood runs where standard HSS edges dull too quickly but full carbide cost is not justified. Note: carbide is not available for the 140mm Tersa knife — M42 is the highest-performance material option at this length. Confirm the Tersa head installed is 140mm before ordering.
