Description

Profile 231 is the third distinct ogee geometry in Freeborn’s 200-series 1/2″ depth-of-pattern CDIC range, alongside profiles 220 and 225. Each represents a different arc proportion and visual character in the deep-relief ogee family — intended to match specific door design drawings or architectural millwork specifications rather than be interchangeable with the others. The FB-CDIC-231-3pc delivers profile 231 through a 3-piece Multi-Profile stile-and-rail insert set with shimmed cope adjustment: the shimmed head closes the joint cleanly across material thickness variation between batches, and Multi-Profile body hardware shares across compatible CDIC insert profiles. The 1/2″ depth of pattern produces the same compound S-curve as the standard-depth 080 ogee but with significantly more shadow depth — appropriate for traditional, formal, and architectural cabinetry. 1-1/4″ bore, 4-1/2″ OD, 3-1/2″ minor diameter, 3-wing CCW, for 3/4″ to 7/8″ door stock. Carbide or T-Alloy inserts available.
