The FB-CDIC-040-3pc delivers Freeborn’s profile 040 cove door edge through a 3-piece Multi-Profile insert set with full cope-depth adjustability. The shimmed cope head — the defining feature of the 3-piece configuration — lets operators adjust the cope cut depth independently from the stile profile, closing the joint cleanly even when material thickness varies between runs or between hardwood and softwood batches in the same production program. Profile 040 is one of three distinct cove radii in the CDIC series; match the number against Freeborn’s profile sheet or your door design drawings when specifying. Multi-Profile heads accept other CDIC insert profiles, so the head bodies remain in service as the shop’s door program evolves. 1-1/4″ bore, 4-1/2″ OD, 3-1/2″ minor diameter, 3-wing CCW, for 3/4″ to 7/8″ material, standard depth of pattern. Carbide or T-Alloy inserts available.
