The WH406H is a 4-13/16 in. OD, 6 in. cut length, 1-1/2 in. bore, 2-pocket corrugated back knife head with 23° hook — the heavy-duty tall CEL version for Williams & Hussey moulders with 1-1/2 in. bore spindles. The 6 in. knife seat at 4-13/16 in. OD handles the tallest profile work on heavier W&H machine configurations: large crown returns, full-height door casing, and tall architectural mouldings that exceed the capacity of the 4 in. CEL WH404H. The larger 4-13/16 in. OD provides greater head mass and cutting stability at 6 in. CEL compared to the 4 in. OD WH406, reducing vibration tendency on tall, demanding profile cuts. The 23° hook angle is the Williams & Hussey specification for compatibility with W&H profile knife geometry. At 6 in. CEL and 1-1/2 in. bore, this is the heaviest head in the WH series — knife balance, matching, and machine condition are critical at this configuration. Profile knives sold separately.
