The WH404H is a 4-13/16 in. OD, 4 in. cut length, 1-1/2 in. bore, 2-pocket corrugated back knife head with 23° hook angle — the heavy-duty version of the WH404 for Williams & Hussey moulder configurations with larger 1-1/2 in. bore spindles. The larger 4-13/16 in. OD and 1-1/2 in. bore provide greater mass and rigidity compared to the standard WH404, improving cutting stability in heavier moulding operations and on machines upgraded to a larger spindle for increased rigidity. The 23° hook angle matches Williams & Hussey head geometry for compatibility with existing knife profiles ground for W&H moulder heads. Corrugated back retention locks straight-back profile knives in both seat pockets. The WH404H is the 4 in. CEL option for the heavier bore; the WH406H at 6 in. CEL provides a taller option. The WH404M is the 40mm metric bore equivalent for metric spindle W&H machines. Profile knives are sold separately; confirm the knife CEL and corrugated back pattern match the WH404H seat before ordering.
