Description
The CB260 is a high-speed steel corrugated back straight knife measuring 2 in. x 1 in. x 5/16 in. for RH100 and RH101 corrugated back router heads. The 1 in. knife width produces 1 in. wide cut profiles — bead, cove, chamfer, and decorative edge profiles at 1 in. coverage on solid wood and panel materials. The 5/16 in. knife thickness (versus 1/4 in. for CB155) provides additional stiffness at the wider profile width, reducing knife deflection under cutting load in 1 in. wide cuts. High-speed steel allows the knives to be reground to custom profiles in-house using standard HSS grinding equipment — an advantage in shops that grind their own profile knives. The CT260 provides the same 1 in. width in carbide-tipped steel for greater edge retention in high-production or hard-species runs. Knives must be profile-ground and weight-matched as a pair before mounting in the RH100/RH101 head. The corrugated back geometry locks in the CB router head’s corrugated seat pockets. Profile grinding required before use.
