Description
The CT265 is a carbide-tipped corrugated back straight knife measuring 2 in. x 1-1/4 in. x 5/16 in. for RH100 and RH101 corrugated back router heads. The carbide-tipped edge provides the wear resistance and edge retention needed for continuous production runs at 1-1/4 in. cut width in dense hardwoods and abrasive materials where the HSS CB265 equivalent requires more frequent resharpening. The 1-1/4 in. width handles mid-range profile work: casing, base moulding, and decorative trim profiles where 1 in. knives fall short but 1-1/2 in. knives provide more coverage than necessary. The 5/16 in. thickness maintains stiffness at 1-1/4 in. width. Carbide-tipped knives require diamond grinding equipment for regrinding — shops equipped with diamond grinding capability can resharpen CT265 knives in-house; otherwise, carbide edge retention significantly extends time between grinds compared to HSS. Weight-match knives as a pair before mounting. The CB265 is the HSS equivalent for applications where in-house HSS grinding is preferred. Profile grinding required before use.
