Description
The CT260 is a carbide-tipped corrugated back straight knife measuring 2 in. x 1 in. x 5/16 in. for RH100 and RH101 corrugated back router heads. Carbide-tipped construction delivers greater edge retention than the HSS CB260 equivalent, making the CT260 the preferred choice for production moulding runs in dense hardwoods and abrasive composite materials where frequent HSS regrinding would interrupt production. The 1 in. width produces 1 in. cut profiles: bead, cove, chamfer, and decorative edge work at 1 in. coverage on solid wood and MDF. The 5/16 in. thickness maintains stiffness at 1 in. width for clean, deflection-free cutting performance. Carbide-tipped knives require diamond grinding equipment to sharpen the carbide edge — in shops equipped with diamond wheel grinders, the CT260 can be resharpened in-house; otherwise, regrind intervals are significantly longer than HSS, reducing grinding service frequency. Knives must be weight-matched and profile-ground as a pair before mounting. Profile grinding required before use.
