The ID3420 is a dedicated 3-wing insert cutter head, 4″–5″ diameter with a 20mm insert (cutting) width, that runs one fixed profile over long production runs at consistent quality. Dedicated heads earn their keep where the same narrow profile — a bead, a small detail, an edge — is cut for very long runs and in abrasive man-made materials: there is no swapping cutters between jobs, and downtime stays low because the C4 carbide inserts index to a fresh edge with repeatable accuracy. Built to industry-standard insert dimensions, the inserts are readily available and outlast comparable brazed tooling many times over. Standard bores are 30mm, 1-1/4″, 1-1/2″, 40mm, 1-13/16″, and 2-1/8″; the body has a black-oxide finish. Additional wings or hydro bores for higher speeds can be quoted on request.
