The IC240TMB is the micro-bevel version of the 30mm solid carbide IC240T tongue insert for ID55-series flooring cutter heads. Micro-bevel edge preparation reduces chipping and veneer breakout at the tongue shoulder — a common quality issue in prefinished flooring, thin-veneer engineered hardwood, and dense hardwood species where standard sharp-edge carbide produces visible chipout on the face layer at the tongue edge. The IC240TMB produces the same tongue profile as the IC240T with the micro-bevel modification applied to the cutting edge. Specified for production flooring runs where surface quality on the tongue face requires reduced-chipping edge geometry. Pairs with IC240GMB for a matched micro-bevel flooring set on the ID55-series head. Seats in ID55 heads with IC240GIB gib. The standard IC240T is the equivalent for less face-sensitive flooring materials. Replace when tongue dimension or surface quality drifts in production.
