30mm Groove Insert with Micro Bevel for ID55 Series Flooring Heads

Description

The IC240GMB is the micro-bevel version of the 30mm solid carbide IC240G groove insert for ID55-series flooring cutter heads. The micro-bevel edge preparation reduces chipout at the groove entry point in face-sensitive flooring materials — particularly engineered hardwood with thin veneer wear layers and prefinished flooring where face damage at the board edge is visible after installation. In production flooring manufacturing, micro-bevel carbide inserts are specified for species and material combinations where the standard sharp-edge IC240G produces visible tearout on the face veneer or at the groove shoulder. The IC240GMB produces the same groove geometry as the IC240G with the micro-bevel modification applied to the cutting edge. Pairs with IC240TMB for a matched micro-bevel flooring set. Seated in ID55-series heads with IC240GIB gib. The standard IC240G is the non-micro-bevel equivalent for less face-sensitive flooring materials. Replace when groove consistency or surface quality drifts in production.
