Description
The CT270 is a carbide-tipped corrugated back straight knife measuring 2 in. x 1-1/2 in. x 5/16 in. for RH100 and RH101 corrugated back router heads — the widest and highest-capacity knife in the CT series. Carbide-tipped construction at 1-1/2 in. width delivers the maximum cut coverage and edge retention available for the RH100/RH101 head system, suited to demanding production runs in hard species and abrasive composites where HSS edge life is inadequate and frequent regrinding interrupts output. The 1-1/2 in. width handles the full range of profiles the RH100/RH101 system can produce: large casing profiles, wide bead and cove mouldings, and architectural trim work at maximum knife capacity. At 1-1/2 in. and carbide-tipped, knife grinding requires diamond wheel equipment. Weight matching within the knife pair is critical at maximum width — any mass imbalance amplifies head vibration at router operating speeds. The CB270 is the HSS equivalent where in-house HSS grinding is available. Profile grinding required before use.
