Description
The CT155 is a carbide-tipped corrugated back straight knife measuring 2 in. x 3/4 in. x 1/4 in. for RH100 and RH101 corrugated back router heads. The carbide-tipped cutting edge provides significantly greater edge retention than the HSS CB155 equivalent, making the CT155 the choice for production runs in hard species — oak, maple, cherry — and abrasive materials like MDF where HSS edges dull quickly and require frequent regrinding. The 3/4 in. width produces a 3/4 in. cut profile: narrow bead, small roundover, and 3/4 in. edge profiles on solid wood and panel materials. Carbide-tipped knives require diamond grinding equipment to resharpen — in shops without diamond wheel grinders, the CT series reduces regrind frequency dramatically compared to HSS, lowering the overall grinding service cost. CT155 knives must be profile-ground and weight-matched as a pair before mounting in the RH100/RH101 head. The corrugated back pattern locks in the head’s corrugated seat pockets. Profile grinding required before use.
