Description

The MH234P6 is a 3-1/2 in. OD, 4 in. cut length, 1 in. bore, 2-pocket corrugated back knife head with 20° hook — the maximum CEL in the MH23xP6 series for 1 in. bore spindles. The 4 in. knife seat handles tall profiles for a 1 in. bore head: crown moulding, large door casing, and decorative millwork profiles in light-duty production shapers and benchtop moulders with 1 in. spindles. At 4 in. CEL on a 3-1/2 in. OD head, knife projection is proportionally significant — confirm that grinding, knife weight, and projection are within the safe parameters for the head size and operating speed being used. Corrugated back retention maintains knife position under the cutting forces generated at maximum CEL for this head size. The 20° hook provides chip clearance for softwood moulding on smaller shaper equipment. The MH232P6 and MH233P6 provide 2 in. and 3 in. CEL options for lighter profile work in the same 1 in. bore series. Knives sold separately.
