Description

The MH233P6 is a 3-1/2 in. OD, 3 in. cut length, 1 in. bore, 2-pocket corrugated back knife head with 20° hook angle. The 3 in. knife seat extends the profile coverage of the 1 in. bore head series to mid-height profiles — door casing, base moulding, and chair rail profiles where the MH232P6’s 2 in. CEL is insufficient. On shapers with 1 in. spindles, profile height capability is limited by head OD relative to the smaller bore; the 3-1/2 in. OD accommodates a 3 in. CEL while keeping the knife projection within practical limits for the head diameter. Corrugated back retention locks straight-back profile knives in the two seat pockets, preventing creep under the cutting forces of continuous production. The 20° hook provides chip clearance for softwood and mixed-species moulding on the lighter-duty machines that typically use 1 in. bore heads. The MH234P6 (4 in. CEL) is the tallest option in the MH23xP6 series. Knives sold separately.
