Description

The MH222P6 is a 2-3/4 in. OD, 2 in. cut length, 3/4 in. bore, 2-pocket corrugated back knife head with 15° hook angle for shapers with 3/4 in. spindles. The 3/4 in. bore is found on benchtop shapers, hobby-grade moulders, and light-duty production equipment where the 1 in. or larger bore heads would not fit the spindle. The smaller 2-3/4 in. OD and 3/4 in. bore combination provides corrugated back knife capability for light profiling: small bead, roundover, chamfer, and decorative edge profiles in furniture components, toy blanks, and craft moulding. The 15° hook angle, shallower than the standard 20° on larger heads, is suited to the cutting dynamics of smaller-diameter heads and harder materials where a reduced hook reduces vibration tendency on lighter equipment. Corrugated back retention locks straight-back profile knives in the seat pockets without knife creep. The MH223P6 extends CEL to 3 in. for slightly taller profiles in the same 3/4 in. bore size.
