The MH223P6 is a 2-3/4 in. OD, 3 in. cut length, 3/4 in. bore, 2-pocket corrugated back knife head with 15° hook angle — the taller version of the MH222P6 for 3/4 in. bore spindles. The 3 in. knife seat extends the profile capability of the 3/4 in. bore head series, handling slightly taller profiles than the 2 in. MH222P6 on benchtop shapers and light-duty moulders with 3/4 in. spindles. At 3 in. CEL on a 2-3/4 in. OD head, knife projection relative to the head OD is at the practical limit for this small head size — confirm that knife projection, grinding, and weight are within safe parameters for the head before operating at speed. The 15° hook angle suits the cutting geometry of small-diameter heads and provides good surface quality on hardwood and mixed-species light profiling work. Corrugated back retention maintains knife position in the seat pockets under the cutting forces at this CEL. Use only on equipment rated for the head OD and operating speed. Knives sold separately.
