Description
The FB-BT-16-001 is the insert back-and-trim cutter head for use with Freeborn raised-panel insert cutters — it trims the back face of the raised panel board at the border, creating the clean shoulder where the panel field steps down to the flat edge that seats in the door frame groove. Running the back-and-trim cutter simultaneously with or after the raised-panel pass ensures the panel border sits flat and to consistent thickness in the frame groove, eliminating hand-fitting at assembly. Designed for 3/4″ door panel material. 1-1/4″ bore, 4-3/4″ diameter, 3-wing, CCW rotation — runs alongside the 6″ RPIC raised-panel head on the same spindle setup. This is the head body (parent); variations select cutting height and insert configuration. Carbide or T-Alloy insert options extend tip life in production runs without replacing the head body.
