Dedicated heads accept only profile 055 inserts — the body itself enforces profile consistency, making repeat setup fast and reliable across long production runs. The shimmed cope head adds the ability to fine-tune cope depth independently from the stile cut: operators adjust cope depth to close the joint cleanly regardless of material thickness variation between runs, which matters when hardwood and softwood door blanks cycle through the same setup. Profile 055 is a specific bevel geometry distinct from the 050 (Multi-Profile) and 060 (Dedicated) variants — confirm against Freeborn’s profile sheet. 1-1/4″ bore, 4-1/2″ OD, 3-1/2″ minor diameter, 3-wing CCW, for 3/4″ to 7/8″ door stock, standard depth of pattern.
