Description

Profile 009 is the second cove profile in Freeborn’s RPIC raised panel series, with a distinct concave arc radius from profile 005. The cove profile cuts an inward-curving transition from the raised panel field to the flat border — the concave arc creates a scooped shadow line at the panel shoulder that reads as more traditional and layered than a roundover in both painted and stained finishes. The FB-RPIC-009 runs on a 1-1/4″ Pro-Line spindle at 6″ diameter, fed face up (CCW rotation), with an AP-90-048 rub bearing setting the depth of cut at the panel border. Replaceable carbide or T-Alloy inserts allow tip replacement independent of the head body, supporting long production life at high volume. Profile 009 covers cove arc geometries not matched by profile 005 — verify the specific arc against Freeborn’s profile sheet or your door design drawings when choosing between the two cove options.
