Description

Raised panel and door-edge cutters on the Mini-Pro system commonly run in the 2-1/4″ to 2-1/2″ OD collar range, and this 2-1/4″ size anchors the lower end of that window. The relationship between collar OD and cutter geometry directly sets the panel shoulder height and profile reveal, so selecting the correct OD is a design decision as much as a setup one. Sealed ball-bearing construction keeps the collar free-spinning at 3/4″ spindle speeds through long production runs on cabinet faces and door sets. Freeborn machines the bore to close tolerances for consistent, low-runout spindle fit. Once the fence is established with this collar in place, the panel height repeats from piece to piece without drift — the mark of a well-fitted shaper setup.
