The SCH-QC-TER-616mm-D is a 616mm Schmidt Terminus double-sided reversible quick-change planer knife for heavy industrial machines with 616mm Terminus-head capacity — the widest size in the Schmidt Terminus range. At 616mm, this knife serves the largest-format industrial planers and wide-bed moulders: extra-wide timber processing, wide slab and panel planing, and industrial-scale architectural production where coverage at full 616mm planing width is required in a single pass. Terminus fast-change at this knife size eliminates the extended setup time of conventional wide-head knife changes — a substantial production benefit at maximum knife dimensions where traditional changeover can take an hour or more. Double-sided design: two cutting faces per knife without regrinding. Available in 18% Tungsten T1 HSS steel for high-volume softwood industrial production or carbide for maximum edge life in hardwood and demanding material at full 616mm width.
