The SCH-QC-TER-60mm-D is a 60mm Schmidt Terminus double-sided reversible quick-change planer knife. The Terminus system is Schmidt’s proprietary fast-change knife platform: knives seat into compatible Terminus heads and change without tools or spindle calibration. Double-sided construction gives two cutting edges per knife — when the active edge dulls, flip the knife for a fresh cutting face and double the service interval before replacement. No regrinding required. The 60mm length fits narrow-capacity Terminus heads for small production machines, specialized jointing applications, and narrow-material planing at 60mm width. Available in 18% Tungsten T1 HSS steel for standard softwood and mixed-species production or carbide for extended edge life in hardwood and abrasive manufactured materials. The steel is the cost-effective choice for shops running primarily softwood; carbide is preferred where dense hardwood runs make frequent knife changes operationally disruptive.
