The MH446DM is a 4-13/16 in. OD, 6 in. cut length, 40mm bore, 4-pocket dual-angle corrugated back moulder head with 12° and 20° hook seats — the 40mm metric bore version of the MH446D for European 40mm-spindle production moulders. The 6 in. CEL at dual-angle 4-pocket on metric-spindle equipment handles tall architectural moulding profiles in both hardwood and softwood on European equipment: the 12° seats deliver surface quality on dense hardwoods at 6 in. CEL; the 20° seats provide chip clearance for softwood production. European-specification moulders running 6 in. profile heights in mixed-species production benefit from the dual-angle flexibility without maintaining two separate 6 in. CEL head bodies. At 6 in. CEL, matched knife sets and balance verification are mandatory. The MH446D (1-1/2 in. bore) is the North American equivalent. Note there is no MH445DM or MH449DM in the metric dual-angle range.
