Description

The MH445M is a 4-13/16 in. OD, 5 in. cut length, 40mm bore, 4-pocket corrugated back moulder head with 15° hook — the 40mm metric bore version of the MH445 for European-specification production moulders. The 5 in. CEL at 4-pocket geometry handles tall architectural profiles — crown moulding, large door casing, and decorative millwork elements — on metric-spindle wide-bed equipment while providing the surface finish benefits of four-knife cutting. European moulder equipment requires the 40mm bore for correct head fit and profile accuracy. The 15° hook angle is well-suited to European production applications in hardwood species including beech, oak, and walnut. At 5 in. CEL, knife weight matching and balance verification are required before operating at production speed. The MH4452M (2-pocket) is available where 4-pocket feed rate advantages are not required.
