Description
The MH446 is a 4-13/16 in. OD, 6 in. cut length, 1-1/2 in. bore, 4-pocket corrugated back moulder head with 15° hook. The 6 in. CEL in 4-pocket configuration addresses the tallest standard architectural profiles — large crown returns, full-height decorative millwork, and complex casing profiles — with the surface finish benefits of 4-knife cutting: more engagements per revolution than 2-pocket designs, producing smoother finished surfaces at equivalent or higher feed rates. The 4-13/16 in. OD provides chip clearance and peripheral speed at 6 in. knife exposure; the 15° hook angle maintains hardwood surface quality in demanding oak, maple, and similar dense-species architectural moulding. At 6 in. CEL with four knives, precise weight matching and head balance verification are mandatory. The 1-1/2 in. bore fits heavy North American production spindles. For profiles above 6 in., the MH448 (8 in.) and MH449 (9 in.) provide extended CEL. Knives sold separately.
