Description

The MH446D is a 4-13/16 in. OD, 6 in. cut length, 1-1/2 in. bore, 4-pocket dual-angle corrugated back moulder head with 12° and 20° hook seats. The 6 in. CEL covers tall architectural moulding — large crown returns, full-height decorative millwork, and complex high profiles — in both hardwood and softwood from a single head body. The 12° seats produce cleaner surfaces on dense hardwoods prone to tearout at steeper hook angles; the 20° seats handle softwood production efficiently with better chip clearance. In a production environment running both species categories, this dual-angle flexibility reduces head inventory and changeover time compared to maintaining separate single-angle heads for each material type. The 4-13/16 in. OD and 4-pocket design provide chip clearance and finish quality at 6 in. CEL. The 1-1/2 in. bore fits heavy North American spindles. The MH446DM provides the 40mm metric bore equivalent. Strict balance requirements at 6 in. CEL. Knives sold separately.
