Description
The MH442 is a 4-13/16 in. OD, 2-1/4 in. cut length, 1-1/2 in. bore, 4-pocket corrugated back moulder head with 15° hook. Four-pocket construction at the 2-1/4 in. CEL increases cutting engagements per revolution compared to the 2-pocket MH4422, improving surface finish quality on narrow trim profiles and supporting higher feed rates on production moulding lines. The 4-13/16 in. OD and 15° hook angle are suited to hardwood moulding where the larger diameter provides chip clearance and the shallower hook reduces surface tearout on dense wood grain. The 2-1/4 in. knife seat handles narrow profile work: small bead, chamfer, step profiles, and decorative detail trim in furniture components and architectural millwork. The 1-1/2 in. bore fits North American heavy production moulder spindles. Four knives at 2-1/4 in. CEL require weight-matching within the set before use. The MH44x 4-pocket series spans 2-1/4 in. to 9 in. CEL. Knives sold separately.
