Description

The MH4462 is a 4-13/16 in. OD, 6 in. cut length, 1-1/2 in. bore, 2-pocket corrugated back moulder head with 15° hook. The 6 in. knife seat covers tall architectural moulding profiles — large crown returns, full-height decorative entablature profiles, and built-up millwork components where the 5 in. MH4452 falls short of the full profile height. The 4-13/16 in. OD maintains peripheral speed and chip clearance at 6 in. CEL, and the 15° hook angle delivers the surface quality on hardwood needed for finish-grade architectural moulding in oak, maple, and walnut applications. At 6 in. CEL in a 2-pocket 4-13/16 in. OD head, knife mass is significant — matched knife sets and balance verification are required before operating at production speed. The 1-1/2 in. bore fits heavy North American production moulder spindles. For profiles requiring 8 or 9 in. CEL — the MH4482 and MH4492 extend the range to the widest production profiles in the series. Knives sold separately.
