Description

The MH4442 is a 4-13/16 in. OD, 4 in. cut length, 1-1/2 in. bore, 2-pocket corrugated back moulder head with 15° hook. The 4 in. knife seat is the workhorse dimension for North American architectural trim production — covering door casing, standard base moulding, chair rail, and moderate crown moulding profiles where the full profile height falls within 4 in. The 4-13/16 in. OD provides higher peripheral speed and chip clearance than a 4 in. OD head at the same spindle RPM, reducing surface fuzz and improving finish quality on hardwood moulding runs. The 15° hook is shallower than the 20° standard, reducing tearout on dense hardwoods — oak, hard maple, and similar species common in cabinet and millwork production. The 1-1/2 in. bore fits the heavy spindle standard on North American production moulders. Two-pocket design provides balanced cutting at the 4-13/16 in. OD.
