Description

The MH462A is a 137mm OD, 150mm cut length, 1-13/16 in. bore, 4-pocket corrugated back knife head with 22° hook for metric-specification production moulders. The 150mm (approximately 6 in.) knife seat extends the profile coverage of the MH46x series to tall architectural moulding profiles: large crown returns, full-height decorative millwork elements, and tall furniture components that exceed the 100mm capacity of the MH462. The 22° hook angle maintains chip clearance on demanding moulding passes at this CEL. Four-pocket construction at 150mm provides improved surface finish and feed rate versus 2-pocket designs, supporting higher throughput on tall-profile production runs. The 137mm OD and 1-13/16 in. bore are matched to the specific spindle specification of the industrial moulder equipment this series is designed for. At 150mm CEL, knife matching and balance are required. The MH4622A is the 2-pocket equivalent; the MH463 provides 180mm CEL for still-taller profiles. Knives sold separately.
