Description

The MH4642 is a 137mm OD, 230mm cut length, 1-13/16 in. bore, 2-pocket corrugated back knife head with 22° hook — the maximum CEL in the MH46x 2-pocket series for metric industrial production moulders. The 230mm knife seat provides the widest single-pass profile coverage available in the 137mm metric 2-pocket range: extra-tall architectural panel profiles, maximum-height door and frame assemblies, and the widest decorative millwork elements that can be run on this head standard. At 230mm CEL in a 2-pocket head, knife mass is at its maximum — knife weight matching, head balance, confirmed safe operating speed, and appropriate machine guarding are all mandatory before use. The 22° hook provides chip clearance at maximum knife extension. The MH464 is the 4-pocket equivalent at 230mm for applications where improved surface finish justifies the additional knife balance complexity. The 1-13/16 in. bore fits the heavy industrial spindle for 137mm-class moulder equipment. Knives sold separately.
