The ID3460 is a dedicated 3-wing insert cutter head, 4″–5″ diameter with a 60mm insert (cutting) width, for running one fixed wide profile over long production runs. Where a consistent wide moulding is cut repeatedly — and in abrasive man-made materials — a dedicated head removes cutter swaps between jobs and holds downtime low; the C4 carbide inserts index to a fresh edge with repeatable accuracy. The inserts are made to industry standards, are readily available, and outlast comparable brazed tooling many times over; multiple cutting edges can often be ground onto a single insert. Standard bores are 30mm, 1-1/4″, 1-1/2″, 40mm, 1-13/16″, and 2-1/8″; black-oxide finish. Additional wings or hydro bores for higher running speeds quoted on request.
