Description

The IG668 is a 160mm diameter adjustable groover with 1-1/4 in. bore that cuts variable-width grooves from 21mm to 39mm — the widest range in the IG-series adjustable groover line. The 21mm-39mm range covers the widest practical groove and housing joint dimensions in solid wood production: deep housing joints for stair stringers, wide dado joints in heavy casework and structural shelving, large mortise profiles, and wide track dadoes for heavy panel hardware. At 39mm maximum, the IG668 produces grooves approximately 1-1/2 in. wide — a dimension that would otherwise require stacking multiple fixed-width cutter sets. Adjustable groove width consolidates tooling across the entire upper range of dado and housing joint widths encountered in architectural millwork and furniture production. The IG668 range overlaps with the IG666 in the mid-range, allowing the two groovers to cover 16-39mm without a gap. Confirm groove width is locked and spindle speed appropriate for 160mm OD before production.
