Description

The IG660 is a 180mm diameter adjustable groover with 1-1/4 in. bore that cuts variable-width grooves from 4mm to 7.5mm without a tool change. Adjustable groovers produce grooves of variable width by repositioning the cutter components within the head body — essential in production shops cutting grooves for different panel thicknesses, spline widths, or drawer slide tracks where groove width varies by product specification. The 4mm-7.5mm range covers narrow groove work for thin splines, small panel grooves, and fine joint work in solid wood and MDF. At 180mm diameter and 1-1/4 in. bore, the IG660 fits standard production shapers. It runs INKS418 reversible carbide inserts with INKS410 spurs for clean shoulder scoring; order replacement inserts and spurs separately as they wear. Set the groove width by adjusting the cutter position before locking for the production run. Confirm the spindle speed is appropriate for a 180mm diameter groover head before use.
