3/8” Hollow Mortising Chisel

Description

The HMC375C is a 3/8-inch hollow square mortising chisel — one of the most widely used mortise sizes in furniture and cabinet production. The 3/8-inch mortise fits standard tenon stock, accommodates loose tenon biscuits and floating tenon systems, and is proportionally correct for the rail sizes used in most cabinet door and drawer frame construction. The chisel surrounds the paired HMC375B drill bit in the machine quill, squaring the corners of each mortise plunge. Chisel only — order HMC375B for the matching bit or HMC375S for the complete set.
