5/8” Hollow Mortising Chisel

Description

The HMC625C is a 5/8-inch hollow square mortising chisel for wider mortise applications in heavier woodwork. The 5/8-inch mortise is used in heavier furniture construction, large door frame stile-and-rail joinery, and structural millwork where a wider mortise provides more glue surface and tenon cross-section than the 1/2-inch standard. The larger chisel requires adequate machine quill travel and motor capacity. Works with the HMC625B bit. Chisel only — for the complete set, see HMC625S.
