Description

The AC106 is a ball bearing rub collar — 1-5/8-inch outer diameter, 3/4-inch bore, 7/16-inch thick — for use on 3/4-inch bore shaper spindles. A ball bearing rub collar rides against the starting pin, fence edge, or template guide to control the cutting depth of the cutter stack: the collar’s OD sets the distance between the cutter and the bearing contact surface, determining how much material the cutter removes. The precision ball bearing design keeps the collar stationary relative to the guide surface while the cutter spins above, reducing friction and preventing burning or marking on the workpiece edge. The AC106 mounts on 3/4-inch spindles in the Schmidt Mini-Pro shaper cutter series and compatible machines. Note: the AC106 is also the replacement ball bearing for the Schmidt Innovator QC601 Junior quick-change cutterhead — order AC106 when replacing worn bearings on the QC601.
