Moving toward the upper end of the Mini-Pro collar lineup, the 2-7/16″ outside diameter suits wider door profiles and taller raised panel cutters that need the cutter running at a greater offset from the guide surface. At this OD the collar provides more clearance between the running face and the cutter’s cut circle, allowing bigger profile geometries to develop without crowding the template or fence. Sealed ball-bearing construction ensures free spinning at 3/4″ spindle speeds through extended production runs on larger tooling — drag against the guide at speed would introduce depth variation that compounds across a run. Freeborn’s close bore tolerances keep the spindle fit consistent, so switching from a smaller OD collar to the 2-7/16″ changes only the depth geometry without introducing runout. A practical size for shops running larger raised panel or decorative door-edge profiles.
